Photography is my hobby, my passion and my bread and butter but taking photographs professionally all the time can be very exhausting.  I definitely needed some rest and recuperation as Bowditch Photography had been extremely busy and in late January, Denise and I took a short break and had the pleasure of visiting Umzimkulu River Lodge, this haven of tranquility was just what I needed. It was really great taking some photographs of nature in all its glory.  It rained for much of the weekend, but as soon as it stopped, out came the camera and off we went.  Our gracious host Steve and Lynne (sorry we never got to meet Lynne) made our stay a very pleasant one and as our girls (our four legged companions) could come with it was even more enjoyable.
